Yoga weekend at the lodge

A warm welcome to the majestic fjords and to a yoga weekend at the lodge together with Ivrigcamp.no

Fishing in the fjord

No better way to soak in the stunning scenery than in an old traditional wooden rowing boat. When staying at the lodge borrow our boat and glide onto the fjord to try your fishing luck. The fish living in the fjords are Pallock, Cod, Salmon, Mackerel, Halibut and more.

Hike: Bondhus glacier/Bondhus lake (all year)

An easy walk suitable for everyone.  The hike starts above the small village of Sundal. You'll follow a river coloured green by the glacier until you reach the picturesque Bondhus lake. This is a short (1-2h roundtrip) and stunning hike.

Ski Touring/ Randonnée (March-June)

We take you to the hidden treasures in the Hardanger Fjord area. Bring your own ski touring equipment or let us know in advance if you need to rent. The trips we offer are 1-day trips and of course we customize the trips to your ski level. The best touring season is from March to beginning of June. Email us for prices and moe information.

Glacier tours ( June-Sept)

The glacier covers most of Folgefonna National Park. Together with an experienced glacier guide, you can explore the glacier on foot or on skis. Multiple day trips are possible, spending the night in traditional huts in the mountains.

Fonna Glacier Ski Resort (April - October)

Enjoy one of Norway´s best glacier parks. Fonna offers all types of skiing. There aren't many other glaciers that can offer a better setup for ski/snowboard/freestyle or cross country teams with a breath taking view at the same time. We can offer transfer to the ski center and back. Fonna is usually open between end of April until end of September.

Hike: Trolltunga ( April - Nov)

With or without skis. Trolltunga is one of the most spectacular scenic cliffs in Norway. Trolltunga is situated about 1100 meters above sea level. The view is breathtaking. The hike starts in Skjeggedal and goes through the high mountains. The hike takes about 10 hours back and forth, including shorter breaks (28 km in total to Trolltunga and return).

Hike: The Pilgrim walk (July-October)

The Pilgrim walk is a beautiful, historical hike starting in Krossdalen above Jondal. Parts of the trail has recently been layed by sherpas from Nepal, and the view from the top is really rewarding. The hike is 14 km (when starting in Krossdalen),  and you follow the footsteps of ancient pilgrims. This is a demanding hike, with steep ascent and decent. You might come across snow, so bring proper footwear.

Hike: Melderskin - the queen of the Rosendal Alps

This challenging (rated black) hike has it all. Starting from above the beautiful village of Rosendal, taking you through a variety of landscape such as juniper forest, steep hillsides, sherpa steps and plateaus with breathtaking views along the way. When reaching the top (1426 m above sea level) you will be rewarded with stunning views of the fjord, the glacier and the surrounding alpine mountains. Sit down and enjoy your lunch (remember to bring one), and hope for an eagle to drift by. Definitely one of our favorite hikes in the area.

Whay not rent a boat and enjoy this incredibale nature also from the fjord?
